Steph is an experienced administration and marketing professional in the not-for-profit sector. She is also an advocate for biodiversity conservation and community empowerment.
As Lirata's Administration & Projects Coordinator, she works to ensure that organisational and project management systems function efficiently, effectively, and consistently. With over a decade of experience working in both public and private sectors, Steph has experience in the fields of marketing, administration, customer service, IT, and human resources.
Prior to joining Lirata, Steph worked as an administration officer at CARA Welfare Philippines, where she designed and implemented systems to ensure the efficient functioning of the animal welfare organisation. She also handled events, volunteers, adoptions, legal, finance, and HR concerns. Steph was also the fundraising officer for Haribon Foundation, leading a team towards financial targets to support the organisation’s conservation programs for protected areas and endangered species. She handled donor relations and community involvement, ensuring that giving requirements were matched to the community’s needs on the ground.
Steph believes in using her skills to create a positive impact on the planet by empowering communities and assisting those who need it the most. Steph’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Certificate in Animal Behaviour. In 2021 she completed a post-graduate research degree in Project Management with a High Distinction average at Central Queensland University.
