Tanya is an experienced consultant with strong practitioner and management experience within community organisations. She has worked with local government, public sector and not-for-profit organisations to plan, implement, review and evaluate a range of services in the areas of housing, homelessness, family violence and Aboriginal Community Controlled programs, and has successfully managed a broad range of projects.

In 2017 Tanya completed a major project with Yarra Valley Water in a lead role encompassing research, engagement and communications. Tanya led an innovative, deliberative stakeholder and community engagement program which strongly informed Yarra Valley Water’s 2018-2023 price submission to the Essential Services Commission.

Tanya has extensive knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector, having worked as a practitioner, manager and consultant in this field since 2001. Tanya has strong expertise in demographic research in the homelessness field. She coordinated the 2014 and 2016 Homeless StreetCounts for City of Melbourne and has analysed longitudinal StreetCount service data from 2008 to 2016 as a strategic input to City of Melbourne’s planning processes. In 2018, she managed the Homeless StreetCount across 5 Melbourne Local Government Areas (the Cities of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Stonnington, Yarra and Maribyrnong) for the Inner Melbourne Action Plan.

Tanya has provided organisational development support to a range of housing, homelessness and family violence sector providers including Launch Housing (and its predecessor organisations), Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand and Aboriginal Housing Victoria. She has completed a review of The Salvation Army Crossroads Community Gardens program, has undertaken further work for Crossroads to support policy and procedure review and documentation for a number of their programs, and has provided case management training to frontline Crossroads staff.

With a demonstrated commitment to quality client services and an ability to relate to a wide range of stakeholders, Tanya brings enthusiasm, creativity and initiative to her work. She is passionate about leadership development and support and has particular expertise in managing organisational dynamics and supporting culture change for positive improvement.

Tanya assists organisations to develop effective systems and evidence-based practice to facilitate continual improvement in service delivery and ensure client focused outcomes.
