About this project

The City of Greater Geelong delivers a wide range of services to the people of Geelong and its surrounding communities. The Geelong Youth Development portfolio focuses on developing young people’s skills, leadership capacity, and mental health and wellbeing, and delivering activities and engagement opportunities that nurture social and community connections.

Lirata has partnered with City of Greater Geelong to develop a more cohesive and outcomes focused approach to evaluation and data collection within the Youth Development portfolio.

A journey over time

Designing and implementing effective Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is a journey which involves a series of steps. These steps build on each other over time to result in high-value information that supports operational and strategic change.

In phase 1, Lirata is providing M&E training for Geelong Youth Development management and staff. This training will equip participants with the key knowledge and skills needed to develop Program Logic, Theories of Change and M&E Frameworks. These skills will provide the foundations for collecting more useful data to evaluate process and impact.
